Frequently asked questions.
Is everything here original artwork?
Unless otherwise indicated, everything in the shop area is an original, unique hand-painted canvas, painted by Mark Naismith-Beeley. Original works are signed and come with a signed certificate of authenticity. Occasionally I may make limited edition prints of selected completed works and these are clearly identified as prints in a separate section of the shop. Commissioned works are NEVER released as prints.
What is included in the price?
Original works are usually sold unframed on stretched canvas. Frames are available as add-ons to the product during the purchase. Larger works may be painted on polycotton or linen. Materials and exact dimensions, are included in the description of each work. All original works are signed on the front. They also come with a certificate of authenticity, also signed by me, Mark Naismith-Beeley. For shipping information see below.
Is shipping included?
Prices quoted on the site include standard shipping by land to addresses in Australia. International and express shipping is available although overseas customers should be aware that there may be additional costs in their home jurisdiction for importing original artworks. Import costs are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
What if I am not happy with my purchase?
Beeleyart offers a 30-day return window on purchases of original artwork from the date of receipt by the customer. No returns are accepted after that date so please consider this if purchasing as a gift.
For commissioned work, see below.
How do commissions work?
There is basically a three-stage process to commissions, designed to make sure the finished work meets every expectation and fits perfectly for its intended space in your home:-
Introductions
Q&A and decision (discussing the project in a bit of detail)
Check-ins and delivery.

What price is a commission?
The main variables on a commission are materials and time. You don’t have to commit to the commission until I have quoted a firm price based on us both forming an understanding of the size of the project. As a rule, larger works take longer and require stronger canvases and materials. As a rule, I don’t take on projects smaller than 30cm x 30cm or larger than 150cm x 200cm and the price range would be $300-$400 for a small work and $1400-$1700 for a large work.
What variations are allowed in a commission?
The purpose of the initial consultations and mock-ups is to reduce the risk of variations. Minor variations like adding/moving a background item or enriching a single colour, adding highlights or deepening shadow, are included in the price. Examples of a major variation would be, change of colour scheme/palette, moving a central or foreground form, changing light source. Major variations will usually attract a price increase of up to 15% up to the 50% completion and 25% after that. No size variations can be accommodated as that is a new project.
